1 min strategy to turn around a bad day

1 min strategy to turn around a bad day

Monday morning I woke up with a pounding headache! I had spent a week in Newport Beach at my BANKCode level 3 certification training. It freakin rocked!! I’m so excited because I now get to share all of my goodies and tools with you on how to increase sales up to 300% and predict buying behavior in 90 seconds or less (that’s not what this newsletter is about, but I’m so dang excited about it!) Anyhow, I woke up to this awful headache and my 5 yr old bursted through my bedroom door explaining how she spilled oatmeal all over the floor. Ugh. Both things not on the menu for today. I wanted to pull my covers up over my head and go into avoidance all day. I did for about 10 minutes. I finally mustered up the motivation and got up. After all, my kiddos were counting on me…and all that jazz.
30 minutes later, I went outside to start the car and guess what? Nothing. No crank, no engine revving, nada. I spent the next 20 minutes jumping the car before I was off to take the kiddos to school, 20 minutes late. Then I drove straight over to the dealership because my check engine light turned on and started blinking. I knew a steady check engine light meant I had some time to buy, but the blinking check engine light meant it needed immediate assistance! I thought to myself “What in the world happened this morning?”  Then it clicked. I didn’t do my morning routine and I didn’t say my morning commitment statement.  I stopped, took a breath and declared to Universe and my 5 yr old ” Today I am committed to create and stay in motivation and flow.” Things immediately started flowing and getting better. I had hot chocolate and popcorn ready for me at the dealership and even got $100 off the diagnostic.
This is the 1 minute strategy I use. Especially when things aren’t going my way and I feel deflated and like life is spinning downhill fast. Here are the 3 easy steps. #1 I remind myself of what I AM committed to, #2 I redirect the energy away from what’s not working and instead focus on what I chose to create  #3 declare it out loud like this:  “Today I am committed to create ____________.” Then I sit back and watch the magic happen :).
I encourage you to use it and see if it makes a difference. It sure does for me!
To your empowered success,
